Abstract
Testing is the seventh step of the EDP (Figure 7.1). All prototypes must be tested against established design criteria to identify potential failures or weaknesses of the solution. For instance, a team developing a giraffe feeder may desire that the device last greater than 1 year of use. Upon executing a durability test, the team may identify breakage points of the device that need to be reinforced with stronger material. The team could then revisit Step 6C: Refined Prototyping for advice on refining prototypes.
