Karl Beecher: So there we have it. You now have a framework on which to base your decision process when considering a move from proprietary to open source software. On the way, we’ve seen some of the key differences from proprietary software, addressed some of the myths and misconceptions about open source software, and learned ways to unlock its benefits.
