[Audio starts]

Hello, everyone. Welcome to Lighting and Rendering with 3DS Max and V-Ray. Let’s start by introducing myself. I’m Jamie Cardoso. I’m a 3D consultant and a 3D author of many popular books about 3D Max, mental ray and V-Ray. Some of my work has been featured magazines and films. You can find out more about me by Googling my name, Jamie Cardoso, or by visiting my blog, Pateron page, Facebook or my new YouTube channel.

In this course, we’ll start by setting up 3D Max and V-Ray basic parameters, followed by creating and fine-tuning V-Ray override material, global illumination, image fields and the color-mapping parameters. We also are going to optimize an image sampler, exposure controls and position of V-Ray sunlight accordingly. In the final step, we’ll introduce other V-Ray objects and enter in key parameters for the final render.
