Structure of Higher Education System
The State is responsible for the overall planning of higher education. Higher education consists of regular higher education, adult higher education and technical and vocational education and training. The academic degree system is divided into three levels. Since 1992, there have been private universities.
Stages of studies
University level first stage
This stage aims at enabling students to master the basic theory, knowledge, skills and know-how and acquiring the capacity for practical and research work in their field of study. Students following these courses are awarded a Bachelor’s degree after four years of study.
