Structure of Higher Education System
Higher education falls under the responsibility of the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training, established in 2001.
Stages of studies
University level first stage
Post-secondary studies include Diploma programmes (1-3 years' study); Associate degree programmes (2 years' study); and Bachelor's degrees.
University level second stage
Postgraduate studies include Postgraduate diploma programmes, Master's programmes, and Doctorates.

Name of Secondary school credential required: Caribeean Advanced Proficiency Exam
Minimum score/requirement: GCE with passes in 5 subjects including 2 at A level or 4 subjects with 3 at A level
