Abstract
Italian economist of the late 16th and early 17th century, and author of an important treatise, Breve trattato delle cause che possono far abbondare li regni d’oro et d’argento, dove non sono miniere con applicazione al Regno di Napoli, published in 1613. Little else is known of his life apart from the fact that he was born in Cosenza, Calabria, had studied theology and law, and was imprisoned for ten years in Naples, probably on a charge of coining.
