Abstract

Exotic nuclei are often unstable and transform into “daughter” states. Their evolution in time is characterized by a lifetime value. Lifetime measurements of exotic nuclear isotopes and their comparison with theoretical predictions are reviewed in this chapter together with the present-day status and future aspects of experimental methods and calculations.
