Abstract

Wu Lien-Teh and his colleagues carried out much experimental research into the pneumonic plague. He also urged for the establishment of hospitals with modern facilities. Therefore, he was regarded to have made great contributions to the prevention of plague in China in the first half of the twentieth century.
