This area is located along the coast of Lyme Bay in Dorset and South Devon in southwestern England. The core protection area covers 25.5 km2. The cliffs of the heritage site expose a virtually uninterrupted sequence of Mesozoic rock formations, covering approximately 185 million years of earth history.
