This park is located in the borderland near Burkina Faso along the middle reaches of the Comoé River in northeastern Ivory Coast. The core protection area of this park spans 11,492 km2 and is one of the largest protected areas in West Africa. Due to the presence of the main stream and tributaries of the Comoé River, this park is characterised by great plant diversity.
