This park became a national mining park in 2005. It is located on the banks of the Chagan River in Bahimi Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and it covers an area of 96 km2. The mining park was designed to introduce mining activities, simulate the ancient exploitation of Balin Stone, explore for interesting treasure, and construct viewing platforms, sand fields, and artificial lakes for fishing and other entertainment. The original natural geological remains illustrate the mineralisation and mining production process of Balin Stone to demonstrate its beauty.
