A tourism experience is the process of an individual changing and adjusting his/her own state of mind while travelling. This process occurs after appreciating, associating with, imitating, and spending time during travelling. The process of having a tourism experience is continuous and consists of multiple special and meaningful moments added together as something different from one’s typical life. Tourism expectation is the criteria by which people measure their experience. Tourism experience includes entertainment, education, escape, appreciation and empathy. Principles of diversity, participation, authenticity and challenge should be followed to provide enjoyable and unique tourism experiences.
