The concept of sustainable development was first proposed by the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm in 1972. It was defined as development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. It is necessary for achieving economic development as well as protecting the natural resources, environment, fresh water, oceans, land, and forests on which humankind depends. The core of sustainable development is development, but it requires economic and social development under the premise of strictly controlling the population, improving the quality of the population, protecting the environment and sustainably using resources.
