This book was edited by Xingzhong Wang and was published by Shaanxi Science and Technology Press in 1990. It includes approximately 190,000 words. Based on tourism behavioural science and behavioural geography, the book systematically discusses the perceptions, interactions and cognition of tourists towards tourism resources and different types of tourist areas. It further discusses the formation of various landscapes, the extrinsic and intrinsic meanings of tourism resources and the characteristics of tourism functions. It fills the gap in tourism geography research. The book is divided into two major parts; the first is about perception and cognition of tourism landscapes, and the second introduces numerous kinds of nature-based tourism resources and cultural tourism resources.
