It also conducts systematic in-depth research on the distribution, formation, types, geological characteristics, evolution conditions, protection and development of the karst stone forest landscapes in 11 provinces (regions) of China, including Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, Hunan, Hubei, Guangxi, Fujian, Hainan, Hebei, and Henan. As of 2011, it was the most complete monograph of karst stone forest landscape research in China.
