Shehong Silicified Wood National Geopark is located in Mingxing, Shehong, Suining, Sichuan, and it became a national geopark in 2005. Its main features include petrified fossil wood, dinosaur fossils, gorges, ripple marks, lacustrine sediments, water landscapes, ebony wood and ancient human fossils. The Longfeng Gorge in the park is a deep gorge. Darendong Cave, an ancient site of primitive tribes, and large-scale Han Dynasty tombs are located along the gorge.
