Loess landscape is the collective term for all natural geographical landforms in loess regions. Loess geomorphological landforms mainly include features such as yuan (tablelands), liang (flat ridges), mao (round hillocks), gou (ditches), loess pillars, ping (plains), die (basins), walls, holes and hollows. Loess landforms have important scientific research value and aesthetic and ornamental value, and they are an important tourism resource. The Luochuan Loess National Geopark and Yanchuan National Meander Geopark on the Yellow River in Shaanxi Province have spectacular landscapes of loess mounds and depressions (Fig. 40).
