Introduction
Contemporary technology lexicon engenders visions of innovation that are characterized by the roles of adult technologists working in Silicon Valley tech companies, and their subsequent involvement in the development of prototypes and semiconductors, or in other unconventional and groundbreaking scientific inventions. Conversely, in classrooms, particularly early childhood classrooms, the term “innovation” can take on a uniquely different and multifaceted interpretation (Lesaux and Jones 2018).
