Abstract

NGOs play a vital role in delivering wetland conservation at all levels. Their role is often under-recognized as many NGOs do not have a formal status and because they deliver such a diverse set of activities. However, from supporting top-level environmental conventions, carrying out research, engaging local communities, and delivering practical conservation work, NGOs are a powerful tool for the delivery of wetland conservation.
