Danube River Basin Regional Management Agreement
Covering more than 800,000 km2 extending across 19 countries, the Danube River Basin can be considered as the most international river basin in the world. The basin is home to more than 81 million people of multiple countries, cultures, and languages. The International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) is a transnational body, which has been established to implement the Danube River Protection Convention.
