Inguinalhernien bei Kindern und Jugendlichen
Zusammenfassung
Die kindliche Leistenhernie ist in den meisten Fällen eine indirekte, angeborene Hernie, die durch eine fehlende Obliteration des Processus vaginalis zustande kommt. Frühgeborene und Jungen sind ebenso wie die rechte Seite häufiger betroffen. Mit der Diagnosestellung, also dem klinischen Bild einer reponiblen bzw. irreponiblen Schwellung in der Leiste, ist die Indikation zur operativen Versorgung gegeben. Die Therapie besteht in dem Verschluss bzw. der Abtragung des offenen Processus vaginalis. Dieser Eingriff kann mit gleichwertigen Resultaten auch minimalinvasiv vorgenommen werden. Darüber hinaus eröffnet die laparoskopische Technik die Diagnostik seltener Leistenhernien im Kindesalter (direkte Hernie, Femoralhernie) und deren minimalinvasive Behandlung.
