Zusammenfassung

Burnout im Sport wird sowohl mit hohen Belastungen und Beanspruchungen bei Trainern als auch bei Athleten verbunden. Erklärungsmodelle sind vielfältig, weshalb im vorliegenden Beitrag eine Synopse entwickelt wird, nach der sowohl Umwelt-, Arbeits- und Tätigkeitsbedingungen als auch körperliche, affektive, kognitive und behaviorale Prozesse auf Seiten der Person zur Burnout-Entstehung beitragen können. Nach einer Übersicht zu diagnostischen Zugängen werden dieser Synopse unterschiedliche Ergebnisse der Burnout-Forschung zugeordnet. Weiterhin werden modellorientiert Zugänge zur Prävention und Behandlung von Burnout skizziert. Darüber hinaus thematisiert der Beitrag, dass körperliche Aktivität selbst aber auch als Präventions- und Interventionsmaßnahme von Burnout eingesetzt werden kann.
