FormalPara DefinitionProdukt aus den Konzentrationen von Gesamtcalcium (auf normale Albuminkonzentration umgerechnet; Calcium) und anorganischem Phosphat im Serum bzw. Plasma.
FormalPara BeschreibungEin Calcium-Phosphat-Produkt über 4,9 mmol2/L2 bzw. 60 mg2/dL2 weist generell auf die Gefahr von Gewebsverkalkungen hin.
Bevorzugte Anwendung hat [Ca × P] in der Nephrologie bei fortgeschrittener Niereninsuffizienz mit sekundärem Hyperparathyreoidismus gefunden, um das Risiko der extraossären Kalzifikation mit ihren teilweise lebensverkürzenden Auswirkungen auf Arterien, Herzklappen, Nierenparenchym und Haut (Kalziphylaxie) zu begrenzen. Neuere Richtlinien setzen hierfür als therapeutischen Zielwert:
Bei Einsatz von ionisiertem Calcium ergibt sich als Zielwert <2,25Â mmol2/L2.
