Zusammenfassung

Mangelernährung ist Folge einer längerdauernden inadäquaten Zufuhr von Makronährstoffen (Proteinen, Kohlenhydraten, Lipiden) bzw. verminderten Nahrungsaufnahme, die zu einer Änderung von Zell- und fettfreier Masse mit konsekutiv verminderter physischer und mentaler Funktion führt und ein schlechteres klinisches Outcome bedingt. Die Mangelernährung führt zu einer Vielzahl änsthesierelevanter Besonderheiten, wie z. B. Elektrolytstörungen, verzögerte Magenentleerung, Hypothermieneigung.
