Group of cytokines, which are essential elements of the immune system:
Interleukin-2 (IL-2) |
It is an essential mitogen and T-cell growth factor. |
Interleukin-6 (IL-6) |
This acts as inflammatory cytokine and pyrogen promoting IL-17 expression by T-cells, B-cell activation, and activity of phagocytes |
Interleukin-10 (IL-10) |
This is a regulatory cytokine that suppresses APC activation, which reduces indirectly potent T-cell responses |
Interleukin-17 (IL-17) |
This is an inflammatory cytokine promoting activation and differentiation of phagocytes and neutrophils |
Interleukin-27 (IL-27) |
This is a regulatory cytokine suppressing the activation and proliferation of the IL-17, expressing T-cells but promoting the formation of IL-10-expressing T-cells |
