Zusammenfassung

In der Gedächtnisforschung nimmt déjà vu eine Sonderstellung ein, weil es sich nicht direkt Formen des Vergessens oder des Erinnerns zuordnen lässt; déjà vu-Erlebnisse irritieren auch den Begriff des kollektiven Gedächtnisses. Déjà vu ist eine französische Wendung, die sich auch im Deutschen und Englischen für eine Klasse von außergewöhnlichen Erfahrungen eingebürgert hat; deren Interpretationen wandeln sich merklich mit der Popularisierung des déjà vu Begriffs sowie unter den Vorzeichen von Medientechniken der Wiederholung.
