Zusammenfassung

Regenbogenfamilien stellen eine relativ seltene, aber dennoch vielfältige Familienform dar. Gleichgeschlechtliche Paare leben mit ihren Kindern u. a. in Stieffamilien, Queerfamilien, Inseminationsfamilien, Adoptiv- und Pflegefamilien. Diese Familienformen entsprechen aufgrund ihrer Entstehungsgeschichte, ihrer Zusammensetzung und ihres Familienalltags häufig nicht dem traditionellen und heteronormativ geprägten Bild einer klassischen Kernfamilie. Der sozialen Elternschaft kommt in Regenbogenfamilien eine besondere Bedeutung zu, da die Akteure Familie oft jenseits von rechtlichen Regelungen oder bio-genetischen Zuordnungen leben. Kinder in Regenbogenfamilien unterscheiden sich nicht systematisch von Kindern aus anderen Familienformen, wenn es um deren Entwicklung und Wohlbefinden geht.
