Videoanalysen in der Psychologie

Zusammenfassung

Die Analyse von Videomaterial erfährt in den letzten Jahren eine zunehmende Verbreitung in der Psychologie. Der folgende Beitrag geht speziell auf qualitative Verfahren der Videoanalyse und deren Nutzen für psychologische Forschungsfragen ein. Sie bieten die Möglichkeiten, psychische Prozesse von Handeln und Erleben in situ als soziale Phänomene zu erforschen. Die „qualitative Videoanalyse“ als spezifisches Auswertungsverfahren gibt es dabei nicht. Vielmehr können je nach theoretischer Ausrichtung und Forschungsfrage unterschiedliche Analyseverfahren genutzt werden. Nach einem geschichtlichen Überblick über den Einsatz von Film- bzw. Videomaterial in der Psychologie werden relevante theoretische und methodische Prinzipien diskutiert sowie unterschiedliche Verfahren vorgestellt. Im Anschluss werden der aktuelle Stellenwert und wichtige Einsatzfelder erörtert und ein Ausblick auf künftige Entwicklungen gegeben. Insbesondere wird auf Ansätze der diskursiven Psychologie und unterschiedliche Formen der multimodalen Interaktionsanalyse eingegangen.
