Zusammenfassung
Die Geschlechterdynamiken der Anderen sind dem Westen seit der Kolonialzeit Symbol für die Attestierung der Barbarei der Kolonisierten. Die Gewalt an Frauen und ihre Unterdrückung in den kolonisierten Territorien stellen bereits zu Beginn der Kolonisierung eine wichtige Legitimation für die Etablierung imperialistischer Herrschaften dar. Dagegen können postkoloniale feministische Analysen als wichtige Interventionen verstanden werden, die Konzepte wie „Emanzipation“, „Geschlechtergerechtigkeit“ und „sexuelle Befreiung“ einer differenzierten Machtanalyse zuführen. Postkoloniale feministische Theorie ist mithin ein wichtiges politisch-theoretisches Projekt und verfolgt u. a. das Ziel, die historische Gewordenheit von genderspezifischen Positionierungen transparent zu machen, aber auch tragbare transnationale Widerstandsstrategien zu formulieren, die Dekolonisierungsprozesse vorantreiben.
