Entwicklungspolitik in der Vergleichenden Politikwissenschaft

Zusammenfassung

Entwicklungspolitik als Gegenstand der vergleichenden Politikwissenschaft ist ein neues Forschungsfeld. Die andauernde Unklarheit über den Gegenstandsbereich der Entwicklungspolitik wie auch der Umstand, dass entwicklungspolitische Maßnahmen sich im Wesentlichen an Zielgruppen in weit entfernten Ländern richten, und ihre Implementierung und Zielerreichung daher nur schwer dokumentiert werden kann, erschweren die systematische und vergleichende Untersuchung. Das Aufkommen der sogenannten Neuen Geber macht eine vergleichende Betrachtung von Entwicklungspolitik zwar noch lohnenswerter als zuvor, stellt die Forschung aber vor große methodische Herausforderungen. Immerhin wird die starke Prägung der Entwicklungspolitik durch bürokratische Strukturen und politische Institutionen in Geber- wie auch Empfängerländern auch weiterhin Ausgangspunkt für vergleichende Fragestellungen sein.
