Zusammenfassung
Phytocannabinoide finden sich vor allem in der Hanfpflanze (Cannabis sativa L.). Von den 104 bekannten Cannabinoiden ist die phenolische Form des Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, kurz THC, am besten erforscht und im Wesentlichen für die cannabistypischen psychischen und kognitiven Eigenschaften sowie für weitere pharmakologische Wirkungen von Cannabis verantwortlich. In den vergangenen Jahren ist ein zunehmendes Interesse am therapeutischen Potenzial THC-reicher Cannabisprodukte für eine Vielzahl von Indikationen, darunter vor allem chronische Schmerzen, neurologische Symptome und psychiatrische Erkrankungen entstanden. Cannabidiol (CBD), das vorherrschende Cannabinoid im Faserhanf, wirkt nicht psychotrop und weist ebenfalls einige medizinisch interessante Wirkungen auf, darunter antiepileptische, angstlösende und antipsychotische Eigenschaften.
