Zusammenfassung

Organmykosen oder invasive Pilzinfektionen sind eine große und sehr heterogene Gruppe von Infektionen. Im Wesentlichen können zwei Subgruppen unterschieden werden: Infektionen durch primär pathogene Pilze und Infektionen durch fakultativ pathogene Pilze. Während in Europa die Infektionen durch primär pathogene Pilze selten sind und es sich hierbei meist um importierte Fälle handelt, haben invasive Pilzinfektionen insgesamt deutlich zugenommen. Sie stellen bei Intensivpatienten und insbesondere bei hämatologischen und onkologischen Patienten eine wichtige Komplikation dar, die weitreichenden Einfluss auf Morbidität, Mortalität, Dauer des Krankenhausaufenthaltes und nicht zuletzt auf die Kosten für Diagnostik und Therapie hat. In diesem Kapitel werden vor allem die häufigen invasiven Organmykosen dargestellt, die auf Aspergillus spp., Candida spp., Mucorales/Zygomyceten, Cryptococcus spp. sowie Pneumocystis spp. zurückzuführen sind.
