In the lymphoid follicles B cells home into a network of follicular dendritic cells. These cells sequester antigen and present it to the B cell in form of antigen to antibody complexes. The complexes are bound to the surface of the follicular dendritic cell via the high affinity receptor for the constant region of IgG (FcRIIB) or via the complement receptor.
