Zusammenfassung
Eheliche Trennungen und Scheidungen gehören zu den häufigsten und zugleich schwierigsten biografischen Transitionen des mittleren Erwachsenenalters. In der Scheidungsforschung sind vor allem die negativen Auswirkungen der Scheidung gut belegt. Allerdings gibt es große individuelle Unterschiede bei der psychischen Adaptation, die noch nicht genügend verstanden werden. In diesem Beitrag sollen zunächst die Auswirkungen einer Scheidung sowie die individuellen Unterschiede bei der psychischen Adaptation ausgeleuchtet werden. Des Weiteren interessieren die Determinanten, die zu den unterschiedlichen Adaptationsverläufen führen.
