Zusammenfassung
Der artifizielle Sphinkter ist der Goldstandard zur Therapie der schweren Belastungsinkontinenz. Der Erfolg dieser Prozedur hängt neben dem richtigen Intra- und perioperativen Vorgehen von der korrekten Patientenselektion und -Aufklärung ab: die Sphinkterprothetik erzielt die besten Behandlungserfolge bei reiner Belastungsinkontinenz. Zudem kann durch standardisierte und routinierte Abläufe die Komplikationsrate minimiert werden. Für eine gute Patientenzufriedenheit steht eine offene Aufklärung an bedeutender Stelle. Es sollte eine realistische Erwartungshaltung über die postoperative Kontinenz erzeugt werden. Ein standardisierter Behandlungspfad ermöglicht eine gute Einbindung des Patienten in die spätere Verwendung der Prothese und verringert postoperative Komplikationen. Trotz optimaler Vorbereitung bestehen relevante Komplikationsraten vor allem im Sinne einer Arrosion oder Infektion. Hier kommt einem zeitgerechten und korrekten Troubleshooting eine besondere Bedeutung zu.
