The following anticoccidial subunit vaccine candidates had been successfully tested against Eimeria species as proteins and DNA delivery or in a vectored version:
  • Apical membrane antigen 1

  • Microneme protein 2

  • Microneme protein 3

  • Immune mapped protein 1

  • Lactate dehydrogenase

  • Rhomboid-like proteins

  • SO7

  • TA4

However, none of these successful approaches have progressed into commercially available products (despite 30 years of research).
