Large abomasum nematode reaching lengths of 24 mm in males and up to 40 mm in females; it occurs in cattle and buffaloes in Asia, Africa, and South and North America. It is found in addition rarely in sheep, goats, and even in pigs. Life cycle and pathogenesis are similar to events in Haemonchus contortus .
