Hadjelia truncata

This species belongs to the spirurid nematodes of the family Habronematidae parasitizing in the gizzard of several avian species (also in magpies, cuckoos, and pigeons, Columba livia). Males reach a length of 6.5–9 mm, while females are longer (12–16.5 mm). Intermediate hosts are beetles.
