This term describes a vaccine for dogs to protect them against dog leishmaniasis, which is initially characterized by typical skin alterations such as scaling and hair loss accompanied by atrophia of the muscles of the face. In Southern Europe, this disease is common and is introduced by Leishmania infantum. Producer of this vaccine, which protects for 1 year, is the French pharmaceutical company Virbac.
