Artyfechinostomum malayanum

Echinostomatid trematode of pigs and rats. Humans may become accidentally infected, if they eat raw infected water snails. The life cycle runs similar to that of Echinostoma species. They are characterized by 39–45 collar spines and of a large cirrus sack. Common species are A. mehrai, A. malayanum, and A. surfrartyfex.
