Ectozide developed to protect dogs and cats against ticks, fleas, etc. In combination with flumethrin (Seresto®, Foresto®), it protects for 7–8 months against ixodid ticks and fleas. In combination with permethrin (Advantix®), it protects for 4 weeks against ixodid ticks and fleas. In combination with moxidectin (Advocate®), demodicosis and scabiosis are avoided. Phlebotomids are repelled for 2–3 weeks by a combination of imidacloprid and permethrin (Advantix®).
