Name
Greek: eos = reddish colour; philein = loving.
This term describes the results of an infection, e.g., with different nematodes (e.g., Ascaris, Toxocara, Ancylostoma, Necator). This overcrowding production of white blood cells and their occurrence in the blood occurs when larvae 3 of the above noted nematodes pass the lungs on their way to their final habitat (intestine).
