Refers to pulmonary disease caused by Francisella tularensis. Clinically, it is characterized by fever, dry cough, and pleuritic chest pain. Chest X-ray shows bilateral pulmonary infiltrates and hilar adenopathy. This form of tularemia has the highest mortality.
