Definition

An alternative form of adjuvant radiotherapy used when the treatment target is defined as 1–2 cm beyond the lumpectomy cavity allowing treatment to be delivered in an accelerated fashion. Typically, highly conformal treatment techniques deliver the intended dose in ≤5 days.
