Vladimir Grigor’evich Peshekhonov (1934– ), director of the Central Scientific Research Institute “Electropribor”, St. Petersburg, is a prominent specialist in naval and space navigation. He has developed a number of high-precision inertial navigation systems for sea vessels and mobile gravimeters for use on the sea shelf. (M 54825)
