Vittore Majoni (1936–2002), was an electrical engineer and a secondary education teacher. He was one of the charter members of the Astronomy Association of Cortina {see planet (50240)} d’s Ampezzo (Italy) and a promoter of the founding of the Astronomical Observatory at Col Druscié, which he then directed for many years.
