Named in honor of Susan and Sarah Hicks, daughters of Bill and Nancy Hicks {see also planet 2220)}. They have shared in their parent’s interest and generosity regarding space-related research over the years, particularly the pursuit of the small bodies in the solar system — minor planets and comets.
