An assay that uses sets of miniaturized chemical reaction areas that may be used to test DNA fragments, antibodies, or proteins. A chip having immobilized targets is hybridized with a fluorescent probe together with the sample. The fluorescence obtained after hybridization is scanned, and the data is analyzed by software to determine the expression level.
