Zusammenfassung
Die Povest' wurde 1970 im Untergrund geschrieben und zirkulierte viele Jahre nur im literarischen Samizdat (Selbstverlag). 1980 erfolgte in der amerikanischen Emigration eine erste Veröffentlichung, 1990 erschien der Text auch offiziell in der Sowjetunion. Die schonungslose Satire erzählt aus der Perspektive des Protagonisten Nikolaj Nikolaevič die Geschichte seiner Karriere als Spermaspender für die sowjetische Wissenschaft.
