Zusammenfassung
Das 1549 erschienene dramatische Spiel wurde im selben Jahr in Solothurn uraufgeführt; eine weitere Aufführung ist nur in Kolmar 1573 nachweisbar; eine veränderte Druckausgabe wurde 1575 von Andreas Meyenbrunn besorgt. Es ist zu vermuten, dass Aal selbst seine Johannes-Tragödie auch vertont hat – davon ist allerdings nichts mehr erhalten.
